Events in Royan, Charente Maritime

Nautical events and sports in general, architecture, music, Royan hosts many festival and cultural events, all year long.

In February, the "Festival Escale d'humour" takes place. Created in 2013, young and older generation of humorists meet in Royan. Better if you are french speaking!

In April, takes place the architectural month, which is the opportunity for architects to meet and to exchange about the development of the public infrastructures.

In June, Royan skate park hosts the urban sports festival. It can be quite impressive!

In July, The Grande Conche, Royan's main beach hosts a worldwide known festival "Violon sur le Sable". Created in 1987 by Philippe Tranchet, 3 days of great classic music with concerts happening on the beach.

In September, another sport exhibition the Triath’long takes place. 1.9 km swimming, 92km cycling and 21 km running. Be trained before registering! The 2020 edition attracted more than 1000 people.

In December, Royan is fully enlighted with the start of the year end celebration and its firework. An ice skating ring is also installed on Royan's main square.
